A Tri-Output AIS receiver with NMEA0183, NMEA2000 and USB outputs to suit virtually any installation

For more complex systems based around the NMEA 2000 (N2K) data standard, Digital Yacht is introducing the AIS200N2K. This unit provides both traditional NMEA 0183, USB (for PC) and N2K data connections and also features a multiplexer so that traditional data such as depth, position, speed and wind, which is available in NMEA 0183 format, can be converted to N2K within the unit. The NMEA 2000 data standard offers faster, more complex networking capabilities and cross platform compatibility with a universal plug ‘n’ play type cabling system. The unit ships with a premade NMEA 2000 cable assembly, terminated with a standard connector so there’s no need for an additional drop cable. Like all Digital Yacht AIS receivers, the unit is a true, dual channel parallel type design using digital processing for the best possible target acquisition.

Digital Yacht have introduced the AIS100 as a new value priced, entry level AIS receiver which doesn’t compromise on performance. The same dual channel digital radio technology used in the AIS200 series is also utilised within the AIS100 but it doesn’t feature the NMEA multiplexing capabilities included with the AIS200. It has been designed to compete directly against all the inferior, lower cost, single channel units.

It sends data using the widely adopted NMEA 0183 data format so it’s a simple two wire connection to the plotter. The dual channel design allows continuous monitoring of both AIS frequencies which greatly improves target acquisition capability and it will also decode both Class A and Class B transmissions.
